Pinkenba - Australia

Date: 22/12/2010

Neumann Contractors was required to remove a traffic island from the middle of Kingsford Smith Drive in Pinkenba and rebuild the road to have 3 lanes in each direction.  BarrierGuard was used to provide protection whilst works were being carried out and was favoured by the contractor due to its low deflection compared with plastic barrier.

The project ran from February until July 2010 and at its peak there was over 1km of BarrierGuard on site.  Neumann Contractors chose BarrierGuard because of its low deflection, which meant that they could work closer to the barrier, freeing up more work room and enabling their road workers to feel safer.
