Southport - Australia

Date: 21/12/2010

BarrierGuard 800 along with anti-gawk screen has been used to protect the first stage of works on a light rail project on the Gold Coast.

Leighton's Contractors are completing the first stage of the project outside the new hospital and university.  BarrierGuard 800 has been installed to protect road-workers from passing motorists as well as provide protection to any errant vehicles.  The anti-gawk screen on top of the barrier has been used to prevent university students and other pedestrians from using the construction zone as a walkway, ensuring safety for all parties concerned.  Over 500m has been installed and the project is expected to be completed by February 2011.
